
The Corporate Volunteer Council of Atlanta (CVC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting member companies to deliver business results through strategic commitment to civic engagement and social impact, announced the finalists for the 27th Annual IMPACT Awards this week. Finalist companies will be recognized and winners announced during the CVC’s annual awards program which will be held at Curate from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. This year’s program theme is “Rooted in Community” and is presented by Delta Air Lines.


“The CVC is proud to honor and recognize outstanding Atlanta companies that share a commitment to corporate citizenship,” says Cheryl Kortemeier, executive director of CVC. “Throughout the year, Atlanta’s leading companies work together to make a difference throughout the communities where we live, work and operate.” 2024 IMPACT Award finalists being highlighted this year include:
IMPACT Corporate Innovative Project of the Year
Presented to a company for completing an innovative, creative, and impactful short-term employee volunteer or social impact project
IMPACT Corporate Skills-Based Award

Presented to a company for utilizing its employee skills to support a nonprofit or community partner

IMPACT Corporate Volunteer Program of the Year
Presented to a company that effectively integrates community service and impact into the business strategy and culture
• Kroger

In addition to highlighting award finalists, the program will feature a keynote conversation between Atlanta Dream WNBA Partner and Vice President Renee Montgomery and 11Alive Sports Anchor Maria Martin. 11Alive news anchor, Jonathan Martin, will emcee the IMPACT Awards program and Delta Air Lines General Manager of Community Engagement, Judy Graham-Weaver will welcome guests. Participants will also have the opportunity to address food insecurity through the Amazon Community Service Project.
